   I have a hard time seating at a computer desk all day. This lap desk is ideal for me to be able to work in other locations like a bed or couch.The lap desk fits me pretty well. I am 5’5″ and 140 lbs. It supports my arms, wrists, and hands. The pockets on the sides are nice for holding my laptop charger and other things. I lap desk looks really nice and is high quality materials. I like that it can be broken down into pieces for better storage.I wish it was a bit wider because I like to criss cross my legs. I also wish the desk part was adjustable. I would like the desk to be closer to my body.Overall I think the desk is great and I am happy to have it.

   I had never used this type of desk, however since I like to do a lot of my after hours household work on the sofa I thought would help, and it does. The first thing I noticed was how well it was made, it is a substantial item that doesn’t have much wobble to it. You may notice if you are on the shorter size that the desk sits up sort of high but I think you will get used to that.Overall this is a great tool for anyone who likes to sit in the comfy chair and work.

   I wanted to give this lap desk a full 5 stars based on the look, and how it easily incorporates into may styles of decor, but there are a few areas for improvement.First, while the dual-bolster construction supports your arms for extended use in bed, on the couch, or on the floor, the desktop area is a little narrow so a larger laptop is cramped and you dont have sufficient space to type comfortably for extended periods of time. I am able to very comfortably work on the couch and eat a snack – so the width is ample- but the depth of the desk is cramped.Construction is decent quality – the smooth desktop is a wood laminate with rounded edges to avoid catching clothing or scratching, and the high-density foam cushions are covered in soft gray fabric. It appears that the fabric covers come off for cleaning, but without taking it apart I cant figure out how.The one disappointment is that the pockets on the side dont hold much. I can slide my phone in there, and maybe a pair of glasses, but its a struggle for my computer mouse.It would be nice to have a cupholder or an edge in the front to keep your mouse from sliding off of the smooth surface (which works great with a mouse without a mousepad, BTW) when you have to get up – my mouse flies off every time , even when Im careful.Overall, its a great lap desk – better than many Ive had – but with a few tweaks it could be perfect!

   This lap desk has a lot of potential, and depending on the person, it can be absolutely fantastic. The wooden top provides a stable surface for laptops or books, and the pillow base adds comfort. While I found the height slightly too high for comfortable use on a couch and felt it didn’t sit close enough to my body for ideal support, my boyfriend has an entirely different experience. He absolutely loves it and thinks it’s the best lap desk he’s ever used.When he’s working on it, he looks so comfortable and content. He spends hours focused on his work, more than he ever did before. He makes full use of all the compartments, keeps his phone in the side slot, and comfortably fits both his laptop and mouse on it. For him, the height and design are perfect, and it’s enhanced his productivity and comfort significantly.Ultimately, it’s a wonderful product depending on the person. If you don’t mind the height or have a setup that works well with its design, it’s an excellent choice. For me, it’s functional but could benefit from a design adjustment to sit lower and closer for ideal support. However, for someone like my boyfriend, it’s practically perfect.Review Scale:5 Stars = Exceptional, highly recommended.4 Stars = Reliable and worth considering.3 Stars = Works as expected, does the job.2 Stars = Has limitations, consider carefully.1 Star = Not recommended, look for something better.This review reflects both my personal experience and my boyfriend’s glowing feedback about the product.

   For $70, there is an awful lot of room for improvement here. I was looking for something a little more compact and less unwieldly than my Couchmaster desktop and this looked like a good one to try.Out of the box it looked like it would be pretty good quality. The arm rests seem to be made out of a nice fabric. The desk piece we noticed right away though came with chips, peels, and missing segments of the laminate though.Putting it together is fairly obvious but it fits together so tightly that it takes a good bit of strength. Nice for stability but terrible for if you want to disassemble it for storage; more difficult to take apart than to assemble.The size is awkward as well. The armrests are tall, narrow, and shallow. You can choose between resting your elbows on them and working on something on the desktop, but not both at the same time. I guess working with your forearms resting where your elbows should go isn’t all bad, because there isn’t actually any padding. The armrests are hard plastic frames with just the removeable cloth case around them, so it gets uncomfortable pretty quickly.The whole thing is pretty light but sturdy at least. The removeable armrest covers are nice if you need to clean them. This would be passable if it was around the $30 price point, but even there it seems there are options that would be more comfortable and functional.
