Review: This is a serious well built chair with a heavy duty piston/adjustment levers unit weighing more than most chairs I’ve put together. The base has a large diameter than others for more stability. All the important adjustments and controls are present and out of the box laying back is adjusted to where one can sleep in it with about a 30 deg angle from horizontal. Don’t let the boss see you.Putting it together requires some physical effort as the tolerances are tight. Then getting old maybe I am weak. The assembly video shows the process then the casters only go in so far for me. Insert one then holding the base strike it on the floor to get seated. The arms sliding in to the seat per the video no way. I need to find my rubber tipped hammer to assist with this. They are so tight if fully seated the screws are an afterthought. Looking at the paper assembly instructions and counting all the parts the screw to mount the headrest isn’t in the package with all the other screws. It is actually in the headrest so unlike me don’t go searching the packaging trying to find it.The range of adjustments is better than most. Height high for a big and tall, medium for Tom Cruise at 5’8″ and even lower for kids. I have a desk with a slide out tray for the keyboard. Chairs with arms bump into this. The arms adjustment on this chair easily resolves this. Then again it is so robust one doesn’t need the arms. Overall a solid quality chair and with all of these chairs the issue is how long will the certified class 4 gas lift piston (whatever that means) will last. We’ll see…

Assembly was mostly simple, except for the arms — the included Allen wrench was short, and tightening the bolts in place was a bit of a chore. Once assembled, the chair adjusts easily, and the headrest and sliding seat cushion are nice touches for long workdays. The mesh back adds good airflow, which helps on warm days in the office. Review: Our desk chair had literally been falling apart. Part of an arm broke off (being a cheap rubberlike material), and the seat had lost all cushioning. This chair looked perfect with it’s mesh back for breathability and is the only kind we buy these days. I also loved how it has a headrest, unlike our old chair.My husband put it together in about an hour (the video was very helpful along with the instructions), but he said it’s useful to have a rubber mallet to pound some of the pieces together and a longer Allen wrench than the one they provide to get better leverage.It’s very comfortable to sit on, has good lumbar support, and looks great. It has the usual height, arm, and headrest adjustment, and you can also make it recline—I love that feature because I don’t like sitting too straight. My husband, however, does like sitting straight and didn’t like how the back curves at the top, leaving a gap and giving no support for his upper back. He remedied the situation by putting the back support cushion he was using on his old chair on this one. Overall, a nice chair but with that one issue.
